Using the Lead Database
Search over 350 million contacts, download them, or add them to a Linkedin Automation campaign.
The Lead Database covers over 350 million contacts and 50 million organisations. Browsing is free. Each row you download uses 1 Lead Database credit. A Linkedin Automation plan includes 10,000 download credits per month, and those credits reload on your billing date. Emails and cell phones in a download are included. Sending a Linkedin Automation campaign to Lead Database leads does not use credits.
Step 1: Open the Lead Database
Log in to Topa
In the sidebar, click Lead Database
The panel at the top right shows Browsing as Unlimited Free, and your Download credits. If you are on a Linkedin Automation plan, it also shows when those credits reload.
If the page says Locked, redeem your unlock code, or contact support to turn it on.
Step 2: Search with filters
Filters sit on the left. Add at least one country, then click Search.
A country is required. Choose Company Country, Person Country, or both. If you search without one, Topa asks you to add it.
Filters on the main list
Company Keywords LinkedIn — words from the company Linkedin profile. With two or more keywords, choose Include Any or Include All.
Company Name — match specific companies.
Job Level — Staff, Manager, Director, VP, C-Team, or Other.
Job Title — Contains or Exact. Contains is broader: searching "founder" also matches co-founder. Exact matches the title you typed.
Company Country
Email — Any, Exists, or Does not exist.
You can paste a list of job titles, company names, or keywords. Separate them with commas, semicolons, or new lines.
Person Filters
Open Person Filters for:
First Name and Last Name
Job Function, such as Sales & Business Development or Information Technology
Search In Linkedin Headline
Search In Linkedin About Me
LinkedIn Connections Over 500 — Any, True, or False
If Cell Phone is shown on your account, you can also limit results to leads where a cell phone exists or does not exist.
Location Filters
Open Location Filters for person and company location.
Person Location and Company Location — cities and places. Click Add locations, then apply your selection.
Person Country is also here. Company Country stays on the main filter list.
Person Region and Company Region — EMEA, NORAM, APAC, or LATAM.
Company Filters
Open Company Filters for company size, revenue, and age.
Employee Range — the size the company lists for itself, from 1 to 10 up to 10001+.
Employee Min Linkedin and Employee Max Linkedin — the number of employees on Linkedin associated with that company.
Revenue Min and Revenue Max
Founded After and Founded Before
Company Industry Filters
Open Company Industry Filters and search or paste:
Industry Linkedin
Industry NAICS Code / Description
Industry SIC Code / Description
Paste industry lists separated by new lines or semicolons. Names that do not match exactly are matched for you.
Click Clear to remove every filter. Each filter group also has its own clear control. The number next to Filters shows how many filters are active.
Step 3: Search with AI
Use AI Search when you would rather describe the leads than build the filters yourself.
Click AI Search
Describe who you want in plain English
Click Search with AI
Example:
Find me director level people in companies involved in insurance in the United Kingdom with 1 - 20 staff
Topa turns that into filters and runs the search. Review the filters on the left, then adjust them and click Search again if you want a tighter list.
Click Use example prompt to fill the box with the example above. Click Skip for now to close the dialog without searching.
Step 4: Read the results
Results are 25 leads per page. Each row has three columns:
Person — name, headline, job level, job title, job function, start date, city, and country. Open or copy their Linkedin URL. Hover About Me for the profile summary.
Company — name, location, employee range, Linkedin employee count, revenue, and founded year. Open the company Linkedin page or website. Hover About Us for the company summary.
Contact — cell phone, direct phone, and email. Click Show to reveal a value, then copy the email or open it.
Use Previous and Next to move through pages. The toolbar shows the page you are on and how many leads matched.
If you open a very large number of result pages in one day, further pages pause until midnight UTC. Downloads are separate from that paging limit.
Step 5: Download a CSV
Downloads use Lead Database credits. 1 downloaded row costs 1 credit.
Run a search
Under Export, set the start page and end page
Check the row count next to the page range
Click Download CSV
Shortcuts:
Current page — export only the page you are viewing
Max — export as many pages as your credits and the export cap allow, up to 30,000 rows in one download
If Download CSV is unavailable, the page range needs more credits than you have left. Shorten the range, or wait until your credits reload on the billing date.
The CSV includes the person, their job, Linkedin URL, email, cell phone, direct phone, company, website, location, employee counts, revenue, founded year, and industry.
Download history
Open History above the filters to see past downloads. Each entry shows the time, the pages, the row count, and the filters you used.
Download the file again from the link. The link expires after 1 hour.
Copy link if you need to share it before it expires.
Resume search to load those filters again.
Step 6: Add leads to a Linkedin Automation campaign
Use this when you want Topa to send connection requests from your search, instead of downloading a CSV.
In the sidebar, open Linkedin Automation
Click Campaigns, then New Campaign
Choose New Connections
Name the campaign and build the sequence
On the contacts step, click Use Our Lead Database
Search with filters or AI Search
Click Next
Choose how many leads to insert: 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 30,000, 40,000, or 50,000
For campaign searches, LinkedIn Connections Over 500 is set to True and stays on. That keeps the list to people more likely to accept a connection request.
You still need a country before the search will run. Click Next only after results are on screen.
Topa pulls Linkedin URLs from your filters, up to the number you chose. If fewer leads match, every matching lead is inserted. This insert does not use download credits.
Finish the campaign as usual: pick the Linkedin accounts to send from, set the active days and sending window, then create it. Campaigns start paused. Max New Leads Per Day Per Account still controls how fast new leads enter the sequence.
Tips
Start with a country, a job title or job level, and a company size. Broad searches are slow and return more people than you can work.
Use Contains for job titles when you want close variants. Use Exact when the title must match.
Use Include All on company keywords when every word should be present. Use Include Any when any one of them is enough.
Employee Range is the size the company gives itself. Employee Min Linkedin and Employee Max Linkedin count people on Linkedin at that company. The two numbers often differ.
Show contact details on screen before you rely on them. A dash means that field is empty for that lead.
Download only the pages you need. Credits are spent per row, and they reload on your billing date.
For outreach inside Topa, add the search to a New Connections campaign. Keep CSV downloads for lists you want to use somewhere else.
